The above said Great Dane is sold as a PET SHOW PROSPECT for the total price of $ . A Deposit of $200.00 is hereby made and the cash balance is due to Seller before this dog is placed in the Buyer’s possession. Registration Papers will also be held until the balance is paid in full. The Buyer understands that once a deposit is made, it is a commitment to buy said dog and is therefore NON-REFUNDABLE. Buyer will forfeit deposit and said dog may then be re-sold if not paid in full by specified date being .
IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY BOTH PARTIES THAT THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS WILL BE MET AND THAT NO OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS ARE EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
If the dog has been classified as a PET by seller, it does not qualify as a Show Prospect/Show Quality dog at this time of sale. This dog is being sold with FULL (Show Prospect) LIMITED (Pet Only) registration.
(Limited registration means this dog CANNOT be bred. A SHOW PROSPECT is a dog that goes beyond the definition of Pet/Companion dog. This dog is not guaranteed to become a Champion of Record, but with the proper care and training on the part of the Buyer and/or Handler, this dog should be reasonable contender and do well in the show ring.)
Seller guarantees this is a purebred Great Dane, offspring of the previously mentioned Sire and Dam.
BUYER certifies that he/she is not acting as an agent for another individual in the purchase of this dog to any mass-producing kennel (puppy mill) or business.
The purchaser promises to keep the dog in proper manner. It shall not be kept permanently in a kennel. If problems arise concerning keeping or training, or if the dog becomes serious ill, the BUYER agrees to consult the Breeder. If it should prove necessary for the dog to change hands, the Breeder has a right of first refusal. Selling to a third party is permissible only after prior consultation with the Breeder, whereby the main consideration is the assurance the dog is passed to responsible owners. If purchaser for any reason decides to surrender the dog, purchaser agrees to return it to seller rather than take it to a shelter / rescue. This puppy has been bred by us and has been carefully and painstakingly reared. The parent animals were mated with the aim of breeding good and healthy puppies. Seller guarantees this dog to be free of communicable diseases as appears to the eye at the time of sale.
At the expense of the BUYER, this dog should be examined by a licensed veterinarian with 48 hours of possession to validate Health Guarantee. ( If purchased on a Saturday, this requirement is extended through the following Monday. ) Should this dog be found in ill health, the cause of which is clearly attributable to the Breeder, this dog may, upon written diagnosis from a veterinarian, be returned to Seller for refund of purchase price or for another dog of equal value, the choice to be determined by Seller.
No other warranties are expressed or implied unless explained by Seller below:
In the case of puppy being sold as a pet, the new owner will provide proof of spay/neuter by the age of eight months. Where then Seller will turn over full registration/limited registration to the new owner.
Buyer releases, Seller, Edwards Danes and their estate from any and all liabilities, and/or damages by fault of this dog after the time of sale. These damages include, but not limited to, destruction of property and/or physical damage to any person or group of people.
This contract is made out in duplicate; the Seller and the Buyer each to receive one copy.
